My name is Fiona Fear and I run a therapy practice called Empowering You Therapies, which is based in Penzance. I am an Advanced Practitioner in; Clinical Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy & Counselling, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I am also a BrainWorking Recursive Therapy® (BWRT®) Advanced Practitioner and Master Coach, and am one of the first practitioners of this modern, dynamic therapy in the South West. I offer a truly client-centered approach in order to achieve the best possible results, utilising the wide range of tools that I have in my therapy tool-box.

My passion for therapy grew from using the techniques I am now trained in to overcome personal challenges, and I now want to pay that forward by helping others to make changes to empower themselves and lead a better life.  The power of our minds should never be underestimated. If it is working in a positive way, our mind can be our greatest asset. Yet if it is working in a negative way, it can be our greatest saboteur. Most of the time, this is beneath our conscious awareness and causes/contributes to the issues and difficulties we may be struggling with. So many of the things in your life which maybe causing you a problem can be alleviated or improved with a change of mind-set and the modern therapy techniques I use allow me to do this in a dynamic and effective way – very often, one session is enough to create a powerful change.

I am proud to be a sponsor of Lighthouse Driving Academy as Sonia recognizes the value and importance of having a confident and positive mind-set throughout the learning to drive and driving test process, in order to achieve maximum success in the best way possible. Should the student wish to work on improving their mind-set for driving, or indeed help to make others changes in their life, I offer a preferential, discounted rate to Lighthouse Driving Academy students. Some possible issues that I can help with: lack of confidence, fears/anxieties about driving in certain areas or certain conditions, driving test nerves, fear of having an accident, mental blocks/difficulties in learning certain aspects of driving or passing the theory test and concentration.
